Thursday, February 25 2010 marked a significant milestone in the history of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) since it was founded as a University College in 1992 and became an autonomous University in 2004. The day marked the investiture of the 1st Chancellor of UEW in the person of Honourable Alhaji (Dr.) Asoma Abu Banda
The immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and the Director of the Centre for School and Community, Science and Technology Studies (SACOST), University of Education, Winneba, Prof. J. Anamuah-Mensah, has reiterated the need for a new way of teaching Science and Technology at the pre-tertiary levels of education in Ghana.
